NSBA Now Includes CMR as Registration Service Provider
It’s with great excitement we announce that the National School Boards Association (NSBA) is expanding their partnership with Convention Management Resources (CMR) to now include registration for the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Annual Conferences & Expositions.
CMR has been a long-time partner with NSBA – providing contract management, inventory management, and onsite support for housing at their Annual Conferences since 2002– and we are delighted at the opportunity to be the all-in-one registration and housing provider moving onward. In taking on their registration, we prepared to tackle their matrix of technical and business processes, and integrate it with our platform to create a cohesive and streamlined attendee and exhibitor registration experience.
NSBA contributes to the national conversation about public education, advocates for public policies to promote access to excellent public education, demonstrates the benefits of school boards and local government on education, and enhances the efficacy of school boards.
Their Annual Conference & Exposition brings together education leaders to learn about best governance practices, gain insight into child development and learn about new programs and technology that can help enrich student learning. It is one of the few—if not the only—places where school board members from around the country can gather and receive the training necessary to address the instructional needs of students and efficiency of district operations.
The 2020 NSBA Annual Conference & Exposition will take place in Chicago. Learn more about NSBA.

AEA Selects CMR as Housing Service Provider for 2018–2020
The American Economic Association (AEA) has recently entered into a multi-year agreement with Convention Management Resources (CMR) as their new provider of housing management services for their Allied Social Sciences Associations (ASSA) Annual Meeting.
Key to winning the bid was the ability to handle an unusually high demand for hotel reservations in a short amount of time – 3,000 completed reservations within the first ten minutes of housing opening. Our development team refined the proprietary housing application to accommodate this heavy load. New developments include faster database processing to enhance mobile interactions and a custom-branded ‘waiting room’ that proactively troubleshoots system errors without interrupting a user’s site session.
Our initial testing resulted in over 8,000 reservations made within a ten-minute window, far surpassing the 3,000 required. A responsive operations team and an experienced development team came together to advance a best-in-breed housing management application. We are proud to welcome AEA to our family of clients.
